Frisia Fietsenverhuur is a versatile family business, which started in the early seventies with a limited number of bicycles. These were used by the guests who stayed at Pension Frisia. When the ´only official bicycle mechanic on Vlieland´ Douwe de Jong stopped his business and passed it on to Frisia´s owners Joop and Toos van Heerde, Frisia Fietsverhuur was born.

Frisia Bike Rental is run by Robert van Heerde and Marion Hoeve.
They are supported throughout the year by a number of employees. In the summer, the team expanded considerably with many extra people; people who return every year because they enjoy working at Frisia Bike Rental.
