Dasha Beets - blessed with a smooth, nuanced jazz voice - performs Rita`s repertoire with a natural musicality and contemporary charm, without losing sight of the original finesse. She is accompanied by internationally acclaimed jazz pianist Peter Beets, known for his virtuoso playing, velvet touch and deep affinity with the American and European jazz tradition.
The programme includes a selection of Rita Reys` best-loved songs: romantic ballads, swinging classics and intimate standards that defined her unique style. About the musicians:
Dasha Beets is a versatile jazz vocalist with a warm, natural voice and a love of the American Songbook. She grew up in a musical family and developed a strong sense of timing, phrasing and style at an early age. Dasha performs regularly at home and abroad and knows how to touch a wide audience with her elegant interpretations and subtle musicality. Her collaboration with Peter Beets underlines her artistic maturity and her affinity with the classical jazz tradition.

Peter Beets is among the most celebrated jazz pianists in the Netherlands. He broke through internationally with the legendary Beets Brothers and played on major stages worldwide. With his virtuoso technique, rich harmonies and irresistible swing, he is hailed as a pianist in the line of Oscar Peterson. Besides his work as a soloist and ensemble leader, Peter is a sought-after accompanist of vocalists and a great ambassador of jazz. His collaboration with Dasha Beets forms a stylish and musical match.
