Chamber music at its very best by The Chimaera Trio and Friends

During the Vlieland Chamber Music Festival, the Nicolaaskerk welcomes the Chimaera Trio and Friends for a sparkling concert full of highlights from the chamber music repertoire. The Chimaera Trio - praised for their refined ensemble playing, expressive depth and lively stage presence - will present a programme in which masterpieces from different style periods come to life in a warm, intimate setting.

Especially for this festival, the trio has invited befriended musicians to present a rich and varied palette of chamber music together: from lyrical romanticism to energetic classics and surprising gems from the repertoire. The unique acoustics of the Nicolaaskerk and the island vibe of Vlieland give this music an extra dimension: clear, close and pure.

About the musicians:
The Chimaera Trio consists of Annemiek de Bruin (clarinet), Irene Kok (cello) and Laurens de Man (piano). Founded in 2012, the trio is distinguished by the rare and captivating timbre of clarinet, cello and piano together - a combination rich in contrast and expression. They choose repertoire that is both classical and famous (think Brahms and Beethoven), as well as lesser-known works, and edit music themselves to explore new possibilities of their instrumentation. Since their formation, they have won prizes at the Tristan Keuris Chamber Music Competition and the Storioni Competition. They have already performed several times in the Nicolaaskerk and in renowned venues such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, and have made recordings for radio and CDs (e.g. under AVROTROS Klassiek).

Admission tickets can be reserved and paid for (Ideallink when booking). You will receive a confirmation email with your admission ticket (QR code) after payment. The QR code is your admission ticket and will be scanned at the entrance (on your phone is sufficient).
You will receive the programme by email a few days before the concert.
Tickets can also be bought (if still available) from 20:00 at the church (concert starts at 20:30).
