and peace and quiet on the island you can walk around in nature.
Vlieland is car-free, which means that cyclists are welcome on all paved roads. There are a total
of
40km of paved roads on Vlieland to explore by bike.

Running events are organised twice a year. In April the
muscles warm up for the lighthouse run.
The second weekend of August is the Stortemelk half marathon.
