The following review policy has been in effect since May 25, 2022.
- It is only possible to write a review after staying at the accommodation. The guest will then receive a personal invitation by email to write a review.
- After writing the review, the host has ten days to approve or otherwise reject the review if it does not comply with the review policy. If this does not happen within ten days, the review will be published automatically.
- Only the 25 most recent reviews of each stay that comply with the review policy are displayed on the website.
- Reviews older than three years are not displayed on the website.
- Only the ratings of reviews displayed on the website count towards the average rating of an accommodation.
- There is no sponsorship or payment for writing reviews on the website.
Reviews cannot be posted if they meet any of the following criteria:
- The review is not about the accommodation
- The review is not about the host
- The review is not about the immediate surroundings of the accommodation.
- The review is not useful for future guests
Examples
A review can be rejected because it:
- Is about the weather
- Is about one of the fellow travelers
- Is about a restaurant the guest has visited
- Is highly subjective (contains more opinions than facts)
A review cannot be rejected for:
- A comment about the immediate surroundings, such as the location on a busy road or with little privacy.
When writing a review, the guest also has the option to leave feedback for the host.
A review can be rejected if it contains information that falls under feedback for the host and not under review.
Examples
A review can be rejected if it is about:
- A broken light.
- A spider web.
A review cannot be rejected for:
- The website states that internet is available in the accommodation, but no internet is provided in the accommodation.
